Chepstow Castle (Cas-gwent) is Grade I listed, located at Chepstow, Monmouthshire, Wales, is situated on top of cliffs overlooking the River Wye, the oldest surviving post-Roman stone fortification in Britain, its construction was begun in 1067. It was the southernmost of a row of castles built along the English–Welsh border in the Welsh Marches.
